Lenovo IdeaCentre A700.jpgLenovo have added another all-in-one desktop PC to their growing collection in the shape of the IdeaCentre A700. With a fully multi-touch enabled 23 inch high-def touchscreen, Lenovo are hoping it’ll sit as comfortably in the living room as it does the office.

A pretty slim little number at 2cm at its thinnest point and 6cm at its widest, you have the option of squeezing in either Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processors, with up to 8GB of PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM at 1066MHz. There is also built in Wi-Fi connectivity and HDMI in and out connections.

Graphical duties are handled by either an Intel chipset in the entry level model, or a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5750 if you fancy splashing out a bit. Storage ranges from 500GB up to 1TB, and there’s also an optional Blu-ray drive if the standard DVD drive isn’t enough.

Lenovo also generously through in a 3-in-1 mouse that can be used in the usual fashion, or alternatively as an air pointer or motion-games controller.

Lenovo are also keen to note that the A700 is “the world’s first PC to utilise Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) touch screen technology, as used in certain medical applications, for the most reliable and responsive touch experience.”

Available from August, prices start at £999.
