cineworld app.jpgIf you’re thinking about heading out in the next few days to see Inception or the excellent Toy Story 3, there’s a good chance your local multiplex is part of the Cineworld chain. If that’s the case, you might want to think about picking up the new iPhone app they’ve just launched.

Built by developers Can Factory, the app will let you buy tickets for showings directly from your phone for any one of the 78 cinemas in the chain.

As well as showing schedules nearest Cineworld branch features, the app also features film info, trailers and details on upcoming releases.

Luke Roberts, Head of Marketing for Cineworld, comments, “We know our customers are constantly on the move, so in response we’ve made it even easier for them to access the very latest information from our cinemas across the UK. From checking cinema times to watching trailers our iPhone application and mobile website gives cinema film fans everything they need in their pocket.”

The Cineworld app will can be downloaded free here from iTunes today.

  • If only people with unlimited cards could use it to book, still despite committing to a contract Cineworld actually treat their loyal customers worse, go figure

Apart from that a functional app although Flixster lets you see across all the cinemas and offers user and critic reviews as well, which at the end of the day is what mobile computing does best.
