SpotifyHot on the heels of last month’s major Spotify update comes an improved version of the streaming service for iPhone users. Taking it’s cues from the revamped desktop application, Spotify Mobile for the iPhone now features a range of social tools for sharing your favourite tracks.

The new version 0.4.5 features a music inbox where you can check the songs sent to you by fellow Spotify users. If you’re looking to post a track or an album to Facebook or Twitter with the app you can now do that too, with an in-app browser that means you never have to stop listening to your tunes when spreading the musical love.

In terms of track searching, the app will now look through compilation albums for songs if the original album you initially searched for is not available yet in Spotify’s catalogue.

All free and all good, iPhone users can update their app now. Symbian and Android users will have to wait a little longer, but have been promised that the same features will be available soon.
