iPad and the App StoreAs the days countdown towards the launch of the iPad, rumours this week circulated claiming that production had slowed and the iPad would miss its late March launch. Apple denied such claims, and now sources speaking to DigiTimes seem certain that the iPad launch is back on track for that rumoured March 26th release.

The apparent delay rumours sprouted from unconfirmed news that key iPad suppliers Foxconn Electronics were having some difficulties getting together certain essential components.

However, a source from a Foxconn component supplier spoke to DigiTimes, confirming that all is well and on schedule, with 700,000 iPads due to ship from Foxconn in March, and a larger batch of 1 million following a short time after in April.
