Though it has garnered far more favourable reviews than its predecessor, the launch of Windows 7 has been marred by an inexplicable pair installation bugs, causing frustrated Windows users to swarm over to Microsoft’s help forums.

Users of the often criticised Vista OS in particular have seen their Windows-woes amplified by the install. Those upgrading from Vista are reporting a bug causing their PCs to enter an infinite cycle of system reboots, which also makes it impossible to boot back into their previous OS.

There have also been numerous reports of a bug causing many users’ PCs to stall at 62% completion of the installation.
