Google and Myspace are to team up to offer a new music search service, making individual tracks more easy to find on the web.

The service will provide links to purchasable tracks and also give an audio preview of songs, with iLike support.

According to Myspace’s President of Music Courtney Holt, more features are still in the pipeline.

“Today’s implementation is only the beginning: not every MySpace song or tour date is integrated into today’s launch,” said Holt. “In the coming days we’ll continue to add additional MySpace songs, video links, and tour info to Google search results, leveraging the breadth and depth of content available from the millions of artists on MySpace”.
