iphone-1.jpgAccording to DigiTimes, several sources are indicating that Apple are bumping up manufacturing orders for the iPhone 3GS by 20%.

Manufacturing partners Omni Vision, who build the iPhone’s image sensors have reputedly notified their customers that shortages of stock may be incurred thanks to Apple’s hefty supply needs.

This news comes soon after Apple’s earning conference revealed shortages of iPhone 3GS stock throughout the fiscal quarter, and unanticipated demand from numerous markets.

This manufacturing increase looks set to address such shortages, with demand for the iPhone still growing.
