Canon's slimmest wide-angle camera – the Digital IXUS 120 IS

Digital-IXUS-120-IS-SILVER-FSL-HOR_001.jpgCanon also today unveiled the Digital IXUS 120 IS which it is billing as the company’s slimmest ever wide-angle Digital

Apparently designed for pockets and handbags the model features a 28mm wide angle lens, 4x zoom and 12.1 Megapixel image sensor. Shots can later be reviewed on the camera’s 2.7 inch PureColour LCD II screen.

Other facilities include Smart Auto mode with Scene Detection Technology for optimising images, 720P HD video capture and blink detection which alerts the user when a person whose picture is being taken has closed their eyes.

It will be available from early September priced at £290 and comes in black, blue, brown or silver.
