That’s what Microsoft UK will be thinking at this very moment, having sold “almost double” the number of Xbox 360s in the UK over the Christmas period compared to Chrimbo 2007, thanks to the price cuts and its zany new casual interface for girls/children/the elderly.

The company is shy of revealing actual, hard sales numbers, but claims these strong Christmas sales in the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) now give Xbox 360 a sales lead of more than ONE MILLION over Sony’s floundering PlayStation3.

Microsoft neglected to mention how Xbox 360 sales compared to Wii sales. They’re probably about level, though, eh, Microsoft?
