Italian high-end projector manufacturer SIM2 has announced what is probably its most advanced, sleekest-looking high definition cinema projector to date.

The C3X LUMIS HOST builds on the standards set with the Grand Cinema C3X Series, boasting an amazing 35,000:1+ contrast ratio, dynamic iris, DynamicBlack technology and a new “dimmable” lamp.

Based on the three of the latest DarkChip4 0.95-inch 1080p DLP chipsets from Texas Instruments combined with SIM2’s proprietary ALPHAPATH light engine, the projector offers improved blacks and a superior brightness adjustable from 1,200 to 3,000 lumens. There’s 10-bit video processing and 24Hz compatibility, plus a choice of three lenses.

It has a whopping six HDMI inputs, meaning you should have no problem connecting up all your HD gear.

If you’re serious about home cinema, this could be the projector for you, but be warned that it will set you back around £27,000. Still want one?
