First PAYG BlackBerry in UK coming to Orange

blackberry-pearl-8120 copy.jpgOrange has announced they’re to be the first provider in the UK to launch a BlackBerry on PAYG.

It’s a surprisingly progressive move from a company I accused of showing no ambition just the other day and it’ll see the popular BlackBerry Pearl 8120 for sale at £145 with internet access at £5 per month and it all starts from February.

Hard to tell how long they’ll be the only one of the big five to offer the non-commitment package but they do have a colour exclusive just in case you happen to be a a big fan of indigo.

Should the deal prove poplar with the public and viable for Orange, they’ll look to bring the rest of their BB collection to those who fear the dreaded contract/terrorists. Don’t hold out any hopes for the Storm but the Curve, Bold, etc would be well worth a shout if the Pearl’s not up your street. Good work Orange.
