nottingham-gamecity-logo.jpgIf, like Jamie, a commenter on our post about the London Games Festival, you’re not based in London, then you might be interested in GamesCity – a similar event in Nottingham. It’s due to take place between the 30th October and 1st November, mostly at Gatecrasher, but also at a few other venues around the city.

The events they’re running are many and varied. Media Molecule, creators of LittleBigPlanet, will be presenting their game in full. There’s a world record attempt at the most number of people dressed as Zombies in one place at one time, on Halloween. There’s a big Harmonix party, where you can go play Rock Band, Karaoke Revolution and Frequency.

There’s a Goldeneye developers commentary event. There’s the slightly concerningly titled “Dark Room Sex Game” (SFW). There’s even a beer brewed especially for the festival – Fine Ale Fantasy. Do you see what they did there?

If you’re up for all of that and more, and I don’t see why you wouldn’t be, then go book tickets. A wristband for the whole event will set you back the rather hefty sum of £50, but you can knock a tenner off that if you’re a student. There are also day tickets available.
