It’s the sort of thing you’d expect Clarkson, Hammond and May to attempt on Top Gear, but this low-down vehicle is the work of car designer Andy Saunders.
So infuriated was he that his 1985 Mini Claustrophobia lost the world record for “lowest car” to another that he decided to literally mash up a 1989 Fiat 126.
The “Flat Out” stands at under 22 inches tall, which probably makes it fun to drive on very, very smooth surfaces: i.e. no public road in Britain.

Looks not very good! They should care more about design
on my opinion this car not very useful for life, especially in great Britain. Maybe it is good just for driving, but not for work, every day life….
I think it is totally inefficient to make a front windshield on such car, as it would be best if the driver lied down and used a simple camera / mirror on the floor to navigate. Could cut off another inch or two and the driver’s head wouldn’t stick out.
My opinion: that Fiat would fit lower profile tires.

great thing, but it lacks an iPhone dock )) What about the wiring,is it hard to install on BWM 5 series? Please advice.
The car seems pretty nice, eve though you are doomed to riding with an open top forever. And I bet this is hella uncomfortable. But I truly respect Andy Saunders for not only winning first record but for fighting an engineering battle once again to return the title.
