blackberry-storm.jpgOkay, we weren’t quite right. Nine days ago we promised confirmation of the touchscreen BlackBerry “today”. We’re still waiting for that official confirmation, but a few details have leaked out about the device’s UK release.

Vodafone will have the Storm from the start of October, which is interesting because it means that three of the four major networks in the UK (Vodafone, T-Mobile, and O2) all have a “signature” touchscreen device that they have exclusivity with. Vodafone have the Storm, T-Mobile have the G1, and O2, of course, have the iPhone.

As we revealed beforehand, the Storm, or “Thunder” as it was previously known, will have just 4 physical buttons and a touchscreen. It’s an obvious iPhone competitor, but might be more appealing to business users who love their push email but don’t want to shell out for a MobileMe subscription.

No word on pricing, but as soon as we get that confirmation, we’ll let you know.
