The above picture is probably the closest I’ll ever get to owning a Vertu phone. I imagine if I were to go into any of their posho stores, like the one in Cannes they’d turn me away and destroy my self-esteem by saying that it “isn’t for the likes of you”.

The new Vertu Signature is an update to support technology that even poor people have access to these days. It has on-board 3G, wifi and is quad-band for when you’re jetting around the world crossing the borders of technological standards. The display itself is OLED – perhaps the most expensive consumer display technology available today, just to underscore the exclusive audience the phone is aimed at.

So if you’re a third-world dictator or Saint Tropez socialite, this could be what you’ve been looking for. If you’re not in that demographic, then this probably isn’t for the likes of you.
