Vodafone UK launches "Vodafone Music" – it's a bit like iTunes

vodafone_logo.gifVodafone has announced that is new “Vodafone Music” service is now live in the UK, allowing its mobile customers to buy and download songs from the Vodafone live! Music Shop.

The service features a new user-friendly interface which includes a smart search allowing users to find music based on track name, artist, album, or genre; free 30-second previews of songs, album art, and improved charts listing new releases and top downloads.

Users who have bought a new handset can use the “Activate My Phone” option to retrieve previous downloads for free, and all downloaded music can be played in the phone’s music player.

Single music tracks typically cost 99p, and albums £7.99. The service is currently available on 11 handsets: the Sony Ericsson W910, W890, W880, W850, V640, V630, K850, K800, K770, and K610, and the Nokia N73.
