HitMeLater.jpgHitMeLater is an interesting web service that helps you to sort out your email. If you don’t have, or don’t use, flagging or starring functions in your email client, then you might find this service useful.

Basically, if you get an email that you really don’t have time to deal with now, but you do want to deal with it at some point in the future, then you simply forward the email to [email protected], and you’ll get it back x hours later. For example, if you want the email to show up 4 hours later, you forward it to [email protected]. If you want it in 24 hours, forward to [email protected].

You can even choose to recieve an email considerably further in the future – upto 1,000 hours in fact – which is more than a month. Finally, there’s the option to email a day of the week – [email protected], for example, and it’ll email it back to you next Thursday. If you send it something it doesn’t understand, then it’ll send you back a short, polite message explaining that it didn’t have a clue what you were on about. Or words to that effect, anyway.

No registration required, and they claim that all emails go to a secure server and won’t be read by anyone other than you. As always, be careful who you trust to make pronouncements like that – I wouldn’t use the service for anything too sensitive if I were you.
