The company has announced three new amplifiers, a new CD player, and an AM/FM tuner.

Central to a decent hi-fi system is the amplifier, and Marantz has three to choose from. Power wise, the PM5003 kicks out 40W x 2 at 8Ω or 55W x 2 at 4Ω, while the PM7003 and PM8003 offer 70W or 100W x 2. Available for around £150, £300, and £450 respectively.

Already known for high performance, Marantz claims that its latest CD player (the CD5003) offers the purest digital sound reproduction possible, even on MP3/WMA files. It’ll happily play back CD-R/CD-RW discs, and display information about the artist and track if it’s encoded on the disc. It also features Pitch Control and Audio EX, and should be available for around £150.

Finally, the ST6003 AM/FM tuner (no DAB here) features 50 station memory with programmable station names, and a sleep and timer function. What else can I say, it’s a radio. Available for around £145.

All units should be available from the end of the month.
