Toshiba intros Camileo H10 camcorder: HD shooting on a budget

toshiba_h10_high_definition_camcorder.jpgToshiba has announced the latest addition to is Camileo range of digital camcorders. The H10 offers 720p high definition recording (1,280 x 720 resolution) for a very reasonable £180.

The camcorder comes with an internal memory card with 64MB capacity, but fortunately can also record to external SDHC’s of up to 8GB, offering up to 4 hours of broadcast-quality film.

It has 5x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom, 10 megapixel CCD sensor, 2.7-inch TFT LCD monitor, Night Mode for shooting in low light, image stabilisation, motion detection filming, plus the usual array of special effects which some people seem to enjoy adding.

The H10 has a standard HDMI output for connecting directly to a high definition TV, and also comes bundled with ArcSoft software for editing footage on a PC.

Available from the end of the month, with an estimated £179.99 price tag.
