Apple really screwed with a lot of their customers by putting a recessed headphone jack on it instead of the usual 3.5mm jack – I can imagine they alienated a lot of the early adopters who’d bought expensive headphones for previous iPods, only to discover they couldn’t actually use them with their new phone.

Sure, you can get adapters, but that’s just something else to cart around with you. Sennheiser has listened to the cries of iPhone users, and just announced the MM 50 ‘phones, part of their CX range, which are iPhone-suitable. In addition to listening to music, you can also receive and make phonecalls, with the integrated microphone and control buttons.

Just £50, and they even throw in three different sizes of ear adapters, ensuring they don’t fall out of your ears like Apple’s supplied headphones are famous for.
