xacti_hd1010.jpgHere in the UK, we’re somewhat behind when it comes to Sanyo’s Xacti range. About four months behind to be honest, So whereas we’re just getting the Xacti CA8, Japan is getting the Xacti HD1010 1080i camcorder.

It’s actually just an update to last year’s miniature HD1000, now offering 1080i shooting, improved image processing and stabilisation, ‘face chaser’ technology for better people stills and video, and a new 300fps slow-motion mode. There’s also a 7fps continuous still shot mode at a maximum of 4 megapixel resolution.

It gets June launch in Japan and a July launch in the US – no word on Europe, so we’ll presume we’re waiting again. Price is around £400.
