Vodafone rolling out HSDPA to six more UK cities

vodafone_logo.jpgVodafone users in London should already be enjoying improved mobile broadband access speeds thanks to HSPDA implementation last year. Soon, mobile users in Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester and Reading will also have access to faster mobile Internet.

Work on upgrading the network in these six regions should be completed in the autumn, after which a glorious theoretical maximum of 7.2Mbps download and 1.8Mbps upload should be possible. Yeah, OK, we’ll believe it when we see it.

I don’t believe Vodafone paid any attention to the last Premiership games on Sunday before deciding which cities to roll out the new high speed service, but at least with high speed mobile Internet, you can watch all the trophy lifting, relegation tears, and losing 8-1 in your final game, as much as you want.

Sorry ’bout that, but it was a really short article otherwise.
