LG learns from silly 'Flatiron' PC monitor name, announces W2242S

lg-W2242S-monitor.jpgLG is rolling out the PC monitors, with the W2242S widescreen 22″ monitor just announced this morning.

With an 8,000:1 Digital Fine Contrast ratio and 1680 x 1050 resolution, it’s powered by their F-Engine picture enhancing chipset and encased in a silver frame with blue power light.

It features a ‘Movie Mode’ setting which increases the ratio to that aforementioned ratio of 8,000:1, and has a 5ms response time and 300 nits brightness.

  • When you guys feature monitors, can you please list connectivity. Most of the recent monitor listings here at Tech Digest have completely omitted the available means to connect the monitor to your machine if you were actually interested. Which is surely one of the most important things to know first.

    ‘HDMI/DVI/VGA/Displayport/Display Link’ data is all valuable info. A couple of recent LG’s have incorporated Display Link virtual GPU’s right into the monitor… does this one too?
