Before scrambling down to the nearest O2 shop to buy one, you should take note that it’s bizarrely only offered to existing O2 customers, who have either an O2 SIM card, or home broadband.

Priced at £20 per month with a 3GB data cap, it’s available on an 18-month contract, otherwise users can pay a steep £119.99 upfront fee for month-long contracts. Unlimited (and free) Wi-Fi is available when in one of the 7,500 hotspots offered by The Cloud, however. Any data used over the 3GB cap will be priced at 20p per megabyte, and when approaching the 2GB point, a text message will be sent to alert you.

Speeds offered are GPRS, EDGE, 3G, HSDPA and Wi-Fi.
