Yamaha has introduced the DVX-1000 audio system with built-in DVD player. Though it's just a stereo system with subwoofer, it simulates 7.1 channel surround sound using Yamaha's AIR SURROUND XTREME technology. Not great for the purists, but where space and price is of the essence, not a bad solution.
