Sony launches two Giga Juke hi-fi systems – NAS-SC55PKE and NAS-E35HD
Turning out to be a busy with day for Sony, with yet more new product – the NAS-SC55PKE and NAS-E35HD Giga Juke hard disk audio systems.
The NAS-SC55PKE can store up to 40,000 songs, ripped at up to 16x speed and saved as either Linear PCM, MP3, WMA or ATRAC and named via the Gracenote database. It can also deliver music wirelessly to up to five players (one is included in the package, which also offers internet radio) – and if you are having a party, there’s a mode for playing the same music in every room. Add to that, a CD player, FM/AM/DAB radio, 4.3-inch display, 100W S-MASTER digital amplification and 20W amplification for the wireless player. You can also easily transfer your tracks to a portable player.
Oh yes – and there’s the NAS-E35HD – described as an ‘affordable’ HDD, which basically means less features – storing up to 15,000 music tracks, with slower track ripping, but keeping most of the features above. No confirmation of price or availability as yet.
