satmap_active.jpgWe featured the Satmap Active 10 some time back. In fact, it was so long ago that it’s now due an update.

The latest version of this GPS unit for outdoor types features a new release of software, plus new functions including a ‘you are here’ location mark shown against your actual path, the ability to hide inactive routes, a low power mode that automatically save battery power and the ability to lock onto a GPS position automatically from start-up, making finding your exact location very fast and easy.

And it still has all the things that made it popular first-time round, including pin-point accurate location on digital Ordnance Survey Explorer and Landranger maps, plus trails (via SD card) to guide you through your outdoor adventures. It sells for £299, pre-loaded with national road mapping, with the trails sold for between £29.99 and £99.99.
