panasonic_retro.jpgNo, this isn’t some 1970s gadgetry we’ve just dug up from eBay, it’s the Panasonic SDR-SW20 – a retro-styled camcorder designed to beat the elements.

Don’t be fooled by the look, it’s actually packing a few interesting features, especially for the adventurous. It’s waterproof to 1.5m, shockproof for up to a 1.2m fall and it’s dustproof. There’s also 10x optical zoom, an image stabiliser, a 2.7-inch LCD screen, quick start, recording to SD/SDHC cards and one-touch burning to DVD.

Available online, you can pick one up for around £240.
