A new website/social network is offering a unique way of recruiting people – you propose them and get paid for your efforts.
The site is know-who.com. It’s a place where job-hunters, employers or simply networkers can meet and mix their social and business contacts. If you see a job that your friend and colleague is suited to, put them forward. And if they get the job, you can claim a ‘finder’s fee’. Alternatively, if you’re hiring, you can go by a real person’s recommendation rather than an agency’s word.
According to a survey undertaken by the people behind the site, ‘recruitment agent’ is the third least-trustworthy profession in the UK – whether personal recommendation for cash rewards will change that is open to question.
