beatlespic.jpgThe Beatles back catalogue should finally be available for (legal) download very soon – which could mean a week’s chart (and more) featuring only the Fab Four.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Sir Paul McCartney is expected to release the Beatles back catalogue for download in a deal which could be worth up to £300 million for Paul, Ringo and the families of the John and George. A spokesman for The Beatles’ Apple Corps label wouldn’t confirm when the records would be available online, simply saying: “The date has not yet been set.”

Availability has previously been held up by legal disputes with their record label EMI and Apple Corps and indeed Apple Computers. But with those now out of the way, it looks inevitable. Indeed, bookmakers have now tipped Yesterday to be the Beatles’ next number single with Labrokes offering odds of 3/1 for it to top the charts.
