airport_express.jpgApple has updated its AirPort Express base station with 802.11n, boosting both the range and performance from its previous incarnation.

The AirPort Express plugs into the wall for wireless net and USB printing, plus music streaming to any room in the house via AirTunes – but now up to five times faster and offering twice the range. You can share a connection with up to 10 users, all protected by ‘advanced’ security features, with support for Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA/WPA2), 128-bit WEP encryption and a built-in firewall. There’s also a built-in combination digital and analogue audio connector to connect to home stereo or powered speakers to aid in your audio streaming.

Available immediately, it retails for £65.
