Television gets arty with the TV Easel

Let’s be honest, TVs on walls look a bit odd and most TV stands seem to have been designed sometime in the mid-1980s. But don’t despair – the TV Easel might soon be here.

The work of Swedish designer Axel Bjurström, it was unveiled as part of a Greenhouse young designers showcase at the Stockholm Furniture Fair, one of three TV furniture concepts developed for Panasonic. A simple idea, the easel is adjustable in height and suitable for TVs between 32 and 37 inches. And there’s a choice of finishes to match your trendy apartment.

Hopefully this is one concept we will see – I’m certainly in the queue.
