Man BRUTALISED by armed police who thought his MP3 player was a gun

darren-nixon-mp3-gun-shame.jpgYes, they thought his MP3 player was a gun. He was grassed up when someone saw the 28-year-old mechanic take his MP3 player out of his pocket to change tracks at a bus stop – and thought it was a gun.

It was a “black Philips” music player, so he certainly deserved a warning to buy superior model in future – but getting arrested by armed cops and having his DNA and fingerprints taken for skipping a couple of tracks of Rihanna’s album is going too far.

Here’s how Darren Nixon explained the shame to the Daily Mail.

“Obviously I didn’t know this at the time but someone saw my MP3 player in my pocket and mistook it for a gun. The police found me on CCTV and followed me. I got on the bus and the police followed. I was listening to my music so I didn’t really notice all the cars behind the bus.”

“As I got closer, I could see that two of the cops had guns. My heart was racing a mile a minute. One of them was hiding behind a car door, looking down his sight at me, and the other was shouting orders and pointing a gun at me. I turned the music off and they were telling me to put my hands up in the air.”

Perhaps they were just telling him to put his hands in the air and dance like he just didn’t care?
