Does sat nav really need to be male or female? Well, according to budget tech firm Binatone it does – and its Carrera S350 is firmly in the female camp.

Bypassing all the usual cliches (“slips easily into a handbag”, “simple to use” for example), we eventually find out that the unit has a choice of coloured covers (pink inevitably is there), UK and Ireland maps with full postcode search, basic or 3D graphics, points of interest and the option to use it as a music/video player or picture viewer.

If that sets your pulse racing, you can race down to Argos for one – it is priced at £119.99.
