Sony’s got some special entry-level D-SLRs spinning over at the PMA show, with the A300 and A350 being satisfactory enough even for the most discerning of hobbyists.

The A300, shown, is almost identical to the A350, but has 14.2-megapixels as opposed to the latter’s 10.2. Both have a 2.7″ LCD screen, with live view being touted as a big feature. Not only that, but they take photos at 3 frames per second, have an ISO range of 100-3,200, built-in image stabilisation, plus a very important feature involving a dual-CCD sensor with second mirror, which tilts to reflect light into the viewfinder or to the second sensor, enabling the live view, and ultra-fast photo taking similar to that of when you’re using the viewfinder to take photos.

As with every other camera coming out of the PMA show, we’re unsure about UK pricing and availability, but with the A300 being a cool $800 (with DT 18-70mm f3.5-5.6 zoom lens) along with the A350 (price just for body only, with an 18-70mm f3.5-5.6 3.9x zoom lens it’ll be $900), let’s hope both models will cost the UK market under £500 each.
