How do the PIFCO batteries perform? Is buying 16 PIFCO zinc carbon batteries for £1 financial suicide, or can they run a torch? And what about the holy grail of battery power tests – can they power up a digital camera?
There’s only one way to find out. Get some PIFCO batteries from the pound shop, get some things that take the same size of battery, then record a video of the results for the internet. Here is that video.
Sorry it’s a bit long and rambling, but I tend to get carried away when batteries are involved. The basic conclusion if you can’t be bothered to wait for it to load or end is that PIFCO AA batteries are the best zinc-based 16-for-a-pound batteries I’ve tested so far. And they very nearly made a digital camera work!
I’ll be back soon with more exciting battery power tests, as long as the management here don’t step in and make me stop it and start doing things a bit more proper instead.
