Myxer has been doing brisk business in the US – and now it’s in the UK, offering you the chance to create content on your PC, then make it available to a mobile handset.

Right now, the Myxer site features tracks from 13,000 bands in the UK and beyond, along with comedy, sports and political content, all available without a subscription or cost and compatible with most handsets. There’s opportunities for bands and organisations to promote their content out via Myxer. But it’s a service anyone can use – and with just a few clicks, you can make web-based content available to your mobile phone.

“The demand for free, ad-supported mobile content is growing at an unprecedented rate,” said Ian England, UK Managing Director, Myxer. “Ringtones, music, video and photos are part of a continuing trend to personalize mobiles as a form of self-expression. People want to be able to take the things they care about most with them wherever they go and they want it to be easy. At Myxer, we think it should be too, so we created a business that leverages the best of the Internet and mobile to make digital content simple to share and access anywhere you are.”
