Maplin introduces Sporty Cam for recording the action on the piste

Apparently it’s going to snow in the UK later this week – so even if you’re not heading for the European slopes, you might get some use out of the Mini Pocket DV with Sporty Cam nearer to home.

Fitted with a detachable sports camera that can be attached to clothing via an elasticated band, this digital video camera is actually for all types of extreme sports – snow-based on not. Or just for recording a pleasant bike ride out if you prefer. The10 megapixel DV camera has a high resolution lens and flash, digital image stabiliser and Night Mode for recording in low light conditions.

There’s even a built-in MP3 player and graphic equaliser thrown in too. Available now for an introductory price of £99.99 until February 20th 2008.
