CES 2008: ViewSonic launches Pro8100 Full HD/1080p home projector

ViewSonic has entered what it describes as the “luxury home theatre lifestyle” category with the Pro8100 home theatre projector.

The Pro8100, ViewSonic is a Full HD (1080p) projector with a native 16:9 aspect ratio, a C2Fine 3-LCD panel for enhanced brightness and colour accuracy and the Silicon Optix Reon video scaler with HQV (Hollywood Quality Video) for outputting noise free high-definition movies, videos and TV. There’s also 10-bit colour processing for rendering over 1 billion colours and auto-iris technology, which makes real-time adjustments to brightness levels within a scene.

Connectivity includes standard PC and video, plus two HDMI 1.3a inputs and two component video inputs. And for the style-conscius amongst you, there’s even changeable top covers. Expect to pay around £2899.
