If you are going to buy a compact, make sure it is just that – and at just 19.8mm thick, that’s certainly the case with the Fujifilm FinePix Z100fd.

Yes, this camera will hardly cause a crease in your trousers. It’s available in ‘shell pink’, ‘satin silver’, ‘cappuccino brown’ and ‘tuxedo black’ and features an 8MP sensor, 2.7-inch LCD screen, image stabilisation (to compensate for that shaky hand), Face Detection for improved ‘people’ snaps of up to 10 people, red-eye removal, intelligent flash and easy uploading of photos to online sites.

And it should be available from January, in the US anyway, for $249.95. When we get it in the UK is still not confirmed. I would guess it’s for more than the £125 equivalent though.
