Audio-Technica is bringing its ATH-ANC3 QuietPoint headphones to the UK in April, which promise 85% noise cancellation, as well as a comfortable fit.

The ATH-ANC3 uses patented technology to detects external environmental noise, using miniature microphones in each ear bud to match up and cancel 85% of outside noise. They also come with three sizes of ear tips (small, medium and large) for a custom fit and a further block to external sound. Although if you do want some connection to the outside world, there’s a control unit that reduces the noise-cancelling function.

Supplied with a hard case, extension cable, battery and airline adapter, the headphones should be available in April 2008, priced at £69.95.
