Last.fm has signed up as one of the first partners in Bebo’s Open Applications platform, launching two tools for the social networking site – SuperBands and What I’m Listening To.

Both effectively let you show off your musical taste in your profile, with SuperBands enabling users to display favourite artists on their profile, see their friends’ top artists, and listen to music by picking a band from their list and hitting the play button. What I’m Listening To will allow users to add a chart to their profile that shows off the music they’re listening to in real time.

Martin Stiksel, Last.fm co-founder, said: “We’re very pleased to be one of the first partners of Bebo Open Applications. The Last.fm experience is all about sharing and discovering music, and we’re excited to give Bebo’s millions of users the chance to join in that experience through these new applications.”
