Flickr’s been doing quite well. It’s now officially more than a bit popular, with the photo sharing mega-site revealing it currently hosts a staggering two billion photographs. Some of which aren’t even porn.

We have no idea whether this is impressive or not, but if Flickr’s sending out a press release about it and bragging about it on its blog it’s obviously pretty pleased with itself.

The two billionth photo upload was this very lovely but slightly boring one of a tree, which was taken and uploaded by user yukesmooks. It is a gum tree. And that’s Australia. The other two billion photos on Flickr are of an equally thrilling standard.
