We mentioned yesterday that Sony was launching the Cyber-shot T2 with a whopping 4GB of memory. Well, Sony has now confirmed its launch for Europe – as well as a number of other details.

First off, it’s available in a choice of five colours (not just the lime green that was shown off yesterday) and it features Sony’s new ‘Sharemark’ technology, making it easy to upload images to galleries and blogs. The 8.1 megapixel camera also packs a Carl Zeiss 3x optical zoom lens, 2.7-inch touchscreen LCD, easy connection to your TV, Double Anti-Blur technology, Face Detection and Smile Shutter, which fires the shutter only when the subject is smiling – obviously not a lot of use if you happen to have moody mates.

The Cyber-shot T2 will be available throughout Europe from the beginning of November 2007. Price still to be confirmed (although in the US, it is the equivalent of £175)
