Video: the Yamaha Tenori-On music sequencer in action

Yesterday night, Yamaha held the world launch of its Tenori-On music sequencer, so despite the tube strike, I schlepped into Soho to hipster-joint Vinyl Records to see what the fuss was about. Tenori-On designer Toshio Iwai was demonstrating the device, as you can see from the video below.

Launching in the UK next month, it will be available for six months exclusively in this country, at £599. Supplies are very limited, but they’re being stocked in 10 indie music stores around the country, so get your skates on, as this thing is definitely worth buying if you have DJ aspirations.
