lg-viewty.jpgWe’ve written about the LG Viewty phone before, and Susi even got hands on with it at the IFA show last week. But today, LG has confirmed that its slinky 5.1-megapixel camphone will be available to buy in the UK from mid-October.

Just to remind you, the camera comes with a manual focus and built-in image stabiliser, you can poke at the touchscreen with a stylus, and it claims to record video at up to 120 frames per second. Oh, and thank to LG’s deal with Google, the HSDPA handset seamlessly uploads your vids to YouTube, and has a full set of Google apps preloaded.

LG reckons Viewty shows a new direction for the company’s mobile phones, focusing on high-end features as well as the design-oriented approach seen in the Chocolate handset. It’s got a silly name, but that camera and touchscreen should help it emulate the Choc’s success.
