IFA 07: Kodak's new range of Easyshare high definition digital cameras and HDTV dock

Kodak has a number of new products on display at IFA, notably the Easyshare V1233, V1253 and Z812 IS models and the Easyshare HDTV dock for displaying HD images on a HDTV screen.

The 12 megapixel V1253 and V1233 Zoom cameras capture HD still images (16:9 aspect ratio) and video (720p at 30fps), as well as featuring a 3X optical zoom lens, Face Detection Technology, Digital Image Stabilisation for reduced blur and shake and a 16:9 aspect ratio screen – 3.1-inch LCD screen on the V1253 and 2.5-inch LCD screen on the V1233.

The Z812 IS Camera has an 8 megapixel resolution, 12x optical zoom lens, HD still image (16:9 aspect ratio) and video (720p at 30fps) capture, as well as the ability to extract still images from videos. Also featured is a 2.5-inch LCD screen Optical Image Stabilisation, high ISO settings (up to 3200), Face Detection Technology and a Smart Scene Mode that will automatically adjust the camera’s settings depending on the type of scene it detects.

The Easyshare HDTV Dock connects to your HDTV to process pictures from Kodak HD-enabled digital cameras, SD memory cards or USB drives. Using the remote, you can kick back and watch individual images and slideshows and it charges you camera whilst docked.

The V1253 will retail for £299, the V1233 for £249, the Z812 IS for £299 and the HDTV dock for £99. Expect them in September/October.
