Each to their own — though I love fonts I’m not sure I want different ones adorning my time-telling device.

The Font Clock, by Thorsten van Elten, is “a 21st century take on the British 24 hour clock design icon” which has twelve different fonts printed within the mechanism of the clock, providing a “random” mixed display.

It comes in three sizes. The smallest one, the G100, measures 29 x 14 x 11 cms and displays just the time.

The medium G225 shows the date and time on two separate lines, measuring 42.2 x 31.8 x 11.8 cms, while the largest G270 shows the time, date, and day of week. It measures 47.6 x 56.6 x 16.2 cms.

The price for this marvel of time display? From smallest to largest, they’ll set you back £195, £550, or a whopping £810 each.
