Expect new launches from IFA to come in thick and fast as the week progresses, including this Daewoo DPC-8099PD-I DVD laptop with iPod docking station.

The name is slightly misleading – yes, it does offer lap-based viewing, but it doesn’t offer any computer based-functionality. What it does gives you is viewing on an 8-inch TFT LCD screen and sound via the built-in stereo speakers or headphones. A DVD player is built-in, with playback of DVD, VCD, CD and CD-R/RW discs and support for MP3, JPG and DivX formats. Or slip in an iPod, with control of your video and music from the main unit’s buttons.

There’s also USB and a card reader for SD, MMC and memory sticks. It should be on display at IFA, so maybe more later in the week.
