Another new digital camera from Samsung, this time the 8.2 megapixel S85 with 5x optical zoom lens.

The S85 also includes Samsung’s Intelligent Face Recognition Technology, which detects the subject’s face, automatically adjusting auto focus and auto exposure for improved image quality in portraits. The AF function instantaneously recognises the faces of subjects and accurately focuses on them, then the AE function sets the appropriate exposure.

Also included is Samsung’s ASR (Advanced Shake Reduction) system, 2.5-inch LCD, 20MB internal memory, card expansion, scene modes, voice memo, continuous shooting mode and an optional rechargeable battery. The Samsung S85 will be available from the end of August 2007 at an RRP of £119.99.
